<p>A cutting tool configured so that an insert can be removably mounted thereto comprises: a holder; a head member having an insert mounting seat for allowing the cutting insert to be removably mounted thereto, the head member being adapted to be removably mounted to the tip of the holder with mounting surfaces of the head member and holder in close contact with each other; a coolant hole formed inside the holder and open in the mounting surface on the holder side; and a first groove formed in the mounting surface on the head member side, communicating with the coolant hole open in the mounting surface on the holder side, and extending so as to open toward a cutting edge of the cutting insert on the insert mounting seat.</p>
