<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydraulic device in which a sliding member sliding in a flow passage hole has a low sliding packing. <P>SOLUTION: A packing 5 attached to the spool 3 of a spool valve includes a ring-shaped inner peripheral side seal part 5A having an inner peripheral seal surface 11, a ring-shaped outer peripheral side seal part 5B having an outer peripheral seal surface 12, and an intermediate flexible part 5C which is interposed between these parts and bent by the action of a hydraulic pressure. The intermediate flexible part 5C has both right and left side surfaces 19 which are flat and parallel to each other. The thickness Tc of the intermediate flexible part 5C is thinner than the inner peripheral side seal part 5A and the outer peripheral side seal part 5B.
