PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas decomposing element that has a small size, has a high throughput capacity, has no possibility of generating NOxand carbon dioxide, can be operated at a low running cost, an ammonia decomposing element and power generator.

SOLUTION: The gas decomposing element is provided with a porous anode 2, a porous cathode paired with the anode and an ion conductive material 1 positioned between the anode and the cathode and having ion conductivity. The anode 2 contains a surface oxidized metallic grain chained body 21.
