<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system that can provide a supply item according to each contracted form while maintaining physical compatibility, can prevent inconvenience resulting from the incompatibility of the consumable item, and cope with various business model. <P>SOLUTION: An ink pack 5, which is used in an image forming apparatus 100 and is a consumable item, is provided with a wireless tag (FRID) 2 used as a consumable item information holding means. The ink pack 5 is provided with a sheet of freely detachable electronic paper 4 that has an RFID reader used for reading information from the RFID 2 and displaying specific information. The image forming apparatus 100 includes: an RFID reader 3 that reads consumable article information from the RFID 2; and a control means 20 for extracting specific information from the read consumable item information, analyzing the extracted contents, and exerting control based on the analyzed content so as to manage the consumable item in the image forming apparatus 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
