<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a package for storing an image sensor with a small lead terminal width, a small interval between lead terminals, and high reliability, and to provide an image capturing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: In the package for storing the image sensor comprising a substrate 1 having a mounting part 1a of the image sensor 9 in the center part of a top surface, a plurality of circuit conductors 2 arrayed from the mounting part 1a of the top surface of the substrate 1 to its periphery, a plurality of lead terminals 3 respectively connected to the plurality of circuit conductors 2 and extending to the outside of the substrate 1, a frame body 6 surrounding the mounting part 1a and being in opposition to the substrate 1 from the connections of the circuit conductor 2 and the lead terminal 3 to the periphery, and a bonding material 5 filled between the frame body 6 and the substrate 1, there is a part 1b of the periphery of the substrate 1 under the lead terminal 3, where the top surface of the part is lowered from the outside of the connections to the periphery. The bonding material 5 enters the lower part of the lead terminal 3 and thus the fixing of the lead terminal 3 on the substrate 1 is reinforced, and therefore, the reliability of the connection of the lead terminal 3 and the reliability of air-tightness are improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
