PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid occurrence of memory fullness even when an image forming apparatus has relatively small memory capacity, and to reduce user's trouble associated with a printing operation accompanying the avoidance. SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus having a communication function includes: a read means of reading an image and inputting it in the form of image data; a storage means of storing the input image data, a printing means of printing the stored image data; a control means of transferring accumulated image data stored so far and read image data input thereafter to a connected information processing apparatus when image data is input exceeding the storage capacity of the storage means before the printing by the printing means: and a transfer destination setup means of setting a transfer destination of the accumulated image data and read image data. When the storage capacity is exceeded, the control means transfers the accumulated image data and read image data as E mail having a copy setting parameter added to header information to the information processing apparatus set as the transfer destination, and the printing means prints transfer image data based upon the copy setting parameter.
