PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private power generator eliminating useless cooling-down operation when an engine transfers to a stopping state before the temperature of an engine rises. SOLUTION: This private power generator 10 supplies electric power by operating a generator 12 by the engine 11. The private power generator 10 performs the cooling-down operation for operating an auxiliary machine 21 such as an engine cooling water pump 21a, a lubricating oil priming pump 21b and an engine ambient air ventilating fan 21c for a predetermined operation time after a stopping command of the engine 11. Just before transferring to stopping of the engine 11, when the lubricating oil temperature of the engine 11 is continuously the predetermined temperature or below for a predetermined temperature monitoring time, the cooling-down operation is omitted.
