<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a bearing capable of more securely preventing displacement of a bearing outer ring to the axial direction and an elevator hoisting machine using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The bearing outer ring 17 faces to outer peripheral surfaces of first/second bearing inner rings 19, 20. The bearing outer ring 17 includes a second flange part 22 and a second screw part 23. The second flange part 22 is installed to one end part of an outer peripheral surface of the bearing outer ring 17. The second screw part 23 is installed to the other end part of the outer peripheral surface of the bearing outer ring 17 along the axial direction.
