<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an organic field light-emitting element which has low drive voltage when forming a bank on an organic layer and has long lifetime, and an organic field light-emitting element which has low drive voltage and long lifetime. <P>SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing an organic field light-emitting element having a first electrode, a second electrode formed to face to the first electrode, a first organic layer between the first electrode and the second electrode, a bank formed on the first organic layer at a pattern shape, and a second organic layer formed at an area divided by the bank, the manufacturing method includes a developing process and a heating process in a process of forming the bank, wherein a process of cleaning by a polarized organic solvent is included between the developing process and the heating process and/or the developing process is prepared in the process of forming the bank.
