PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner preventing scratches of coating by a fan guard fixation screw and preventing rust in a metallic fan guard to which coating treatment is applied. SOLUTION: The outdoor unit for the air conditioner includes the fan guard 104 having vertical and lateral fences formed by arranging a plurality of metallic wires vertically and laterally and a surface coated with a resin material and covering a blowout port 103a formed on a front face panel 103; a screw mounting part 200 formed by extending and bending the metallic wires of either or both of the vertical and lateral fences of the fan guard 104; a resin washer 202 having outer diameter larger than that of the screw mounting part 200; and a screw 203.
