PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet postprocessing device in which improvement in assembling performance and productivity can be expected, by dispensing with a control part and a driving source of a pressing member such as a compression member and a finger, while achieving orderly alignment of every sheet even if any curl and deflection of a sheet is present. SOLUTION: A reference fence 61 is arranged under a staple tray 41 obliquely arranged inside the device, for registering by abutting on the lower ends of a plurality of sheets carried in its staple tray 41. A pressing part 70 is arranged for pressing the rear end of its sheet bundle in the thickness direction by elastically repulsively energizing a lower part of the sheet bundle composed of the plurality of sheets to one side in its reference fence 61. A binding processing part is arranged for performing sheet binding processing such as a stapler 35 to a lower part of the sheet bundle aligned by being pressed by its pressing part 70.
