PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a shutter time lag felt by a user. SOLUTION: A release button 21 sequentially generates a first release signal indicating the start of preparation for photography and a second release signal indicating the start of a photography operation of an imaging means. A CPU 26 sets predicted photography time based on generation of the first release signal to start the photography operation of the imaging means at the predicted photography time. The CPU 26 determines whether or not the second release signal is generated before predetermined determination time passes from the predicted photography time. The CPU 26 acquires photography data photographed by the photography operation started at the predicted photography time when the second release signal is generated before the predetermined determination time passes. In addition, the photography operation of the imaging means is controlled based on generation of the second release signal to acquire the imaging data when the second release signal is not generated before the predetermined determination time passes.
