<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating anode X-ray tube excellent in a cooling rate of an anode target, extending a product service life thereof. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The rotating anode X-ray tube 1 includes: a fixed body 10 having a channel therein through which a cooling fluid 20 flows; a rotor 600 including a disk-like large-diameter portion 610, which has a target layer 52 and a vacuum cavity 51b and constitutes an anode target, and a small-diameter portion 620, surrounding around an outer surface of the fixed body, and rotatably supported by the fixed body; a liquid metal lubricant 70; a cathode 80; a vacuum envelope 90; and a working fluid material 200 housed inside of the vacuum cavity and dissipating heat of the target layer by being vaporized and condensed.
