<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceramic heater capable of heating uniformly the whole of heating object while suppressing large-sizing of a case to house the ceramic heater, even in the case engagement holes to engage with a terminal are formed. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ceramic heater 1 heats a heating object using a ceramic body 10 which is formed of ceramics and a terminal 20 to which electric current from a power supply is supplied. The ceramic body 10 includes a body part 11, engagement holes 12 which are formed in the body part 11 and with which the terminal 20 is insertion engaged, and at least one of bump parts (for example, projection part 13) which rise toward the heating object from the surface 11A on the opposed side to the heating object in the body part 11 or recessed parts (for example, hole part 15) which are recessed toward the opposite side to the heating object from the surface 11A.
