PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens that improves optical performance while achieving size and weight reductions. SOLUTION: The imaging lens includes, in order from an object side to an image side: a diaphragm 2, a first lens 3, which is a biconvex lens; and a second lens 4 which is a lens having a concave face directed to the object side and having negative power. The imaging lens satisfies expressions given below: -0.3≤r1/r2<-0.1 and 0.8≤f1/FL≤0.98 (wherein r1is the central curvature radius of the object side face of the first lens 3, r2is the central curvature radius of the image side face of the first lens 3, f1is the focal distance of the first lens 3, and FL is the focal distance of the entire lens system).
