PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve energy-saving by effectively performing UV irradiation. SOLUTION: In the case of hardening an ink sticking to an IC tag label 60 as a printing medium by a UV irradiation unit 24 as a light irradiation means having a plurality of light sources 24a for emitting UV light, the light sources 24a to be lit are selected and controlled by a control part as a control means in accordance with the printing width of information such as a character or the like to be printed on the IC tag label 60, then, the UV irradiation is effectively performed. That is, the portion with ink-particulate stuck thereto can be effectively irradiated with the UV light, and also, the portion with no ink particulate stuck thereto is prevented from being uselessly irradiated with the UV light.
