PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resin composition having excellent impact resistance, a molded item of the resin composition, and a method for producing the molded item. SOLUTION: The resin composition contains a polylactic acid resin, a polypropylene-based resin, a compatilizer, and a crystal-nucleating agent. The crystal-nucleating agent is at least one material selected from the group consisting of a compound having a hydroxy group and an amide group in a molecule, a metal salt of phenylphosphonic acid, phthalocyanine, a metal salt of phosphoric ester, a metal salt of aromatic sulfonic acid dialkyl ester, a metal salt of rosin acids, an aromatic carboxylic acid amide, a rosin acid amide, carbohydrazides, N-substituted ureas, a salt of melamine compound, and uracils.
