PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-temperature liquefied gas storage tank to minimize the vehicle total length of a transportation vehicle during transportation, and to simplify the assembly work at a storage tank installation site, while securing the capacity of an inner tank. SOLUTION: A plurality of pipes 16 communicating with the inside the inner tank 11, and projecting downward of the inner tank are provided in one side relative to a plane surface passing through an axial line of the inner tank 11. A thermal insulating cap 17 is individually hermetically fixed to the periphery of the pipe where the pipe 16 passes through an outer tank lower member 14. When the inner tank 11 and the outer tank lower member 14 are joined, the insulating cap 17 is inserted to a through-hole 23 formed in the outer tank lower member 14, and the outer periphery of the heat insulating cap 17 is hermetically joined to the outer tank lower member 14.
