The present invention relates to a system for providing traffic information using a local area network, to a method, to a service server, a traffic information relay method, to an application server, to a method for providing traffic information, to a mobile communication terminal, to a navigation terminal, to an executing method, and to a storage medium. The method for providing traffic information according to the present invention enables the navigation terminal, which is connectible to a local area network, to receive traffic information from the application server of a mobile communication network via the mobile communication terminal and the service server, and to overcome restrictions of a communication network, said method for providing traffic information comprising: the navigation terminal which is connected to the mobile communication terminal via the local area network, and which navigates traffic information received from the application server; the mobile communication terminal which is connected to the navigation terminal via the local area network, and which is connected to the service server through the mobile communication network, and which transmits data between the navigation terminal and the service server; the service server which is connected to the mobile communication terminal via the mobile communication network, and which is connected to the application server via the mobile communication network or a wired communication network, and which performs authentication for the navigation terminal and the mobile communication terminal, and which makes a request for traffic information requested by the authenticated navigation terminal to be provided to the application server; and the application server which is connected to the service server via the mobile communication network or the wired communication network, and which provides traffic information requested by the navigation terminal.
