A salt tile is provided which has optical characteristics capable of displaying a photoimage that produces a high healing effect.  The tile is characterized by comprising a melt-molded object which is milk-white and translucent and comprises purified salt or natural salt as a major component.  The tile is further characterized by having a tile-thickness-direction diffuse transmittance at a wavelength in the visible light region of 10-30%.
