<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sealing structure having improved installation efficiency and sealing stability. <P>SOLUTION: The sealing structure includes a shaft 1, a housing 2 having a shaft hole 20 into which the shaft 1 is inserted, and a seal member 3 for sealing an annular clearance between the two members. The housing 2 consists of an end face 20a approximately perpendicular to the axial direction, and a cover part 21 detachably mounted on the housing 2 to hold and fix the seal member 3 between the end face 20a and itself. The seal member 3 consists of a rubber-like elastic body part 31 having first seal portions 31a, 31b for contacting an outer peripheral face 10 of the shaft 1 and a second seal portion 31c for contacting the end face 20a, and a metal ring 30 to which the rubber-like elastic body part 31 is integrally fixed. The seal portion 31c is held and fixed between the end face 20a and the cover part 21 so as to be compressed between the metal ring 30 and the end face 20a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
