<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a diffraction grating for receiving differential phase shift modulation light capable of accurately detecting phase change, and to provide a light receiving device using the same. <P>SOLUTION: A transmission type diffraction grating 11 as the diffraction grating for receiving phase shift modulation light includes an end 11a as at least one emission end emitting phase shift modulated signal light, a grating surface 12 as a diffraction grating body diffracting light emitted from the end 11a and an end 11b as at least one first incident end in which light emitted from the diffraction grating body is made incident and which is provided at a place except a place in which m-order (m: an integer) diffraction light is made incident. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
