<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a both-side image forming apparatus composed so that unevenness in glossiness does not occur on an already fixed surface, even if the already fixed surface is re-heated at a nip section, during a both-side image formation and transported in contact with a supporting belt. <P>SOLUTION: Both-side image forming apparatus which can form images on both sides of recording material is provided with: a rotating body which rotates and abuts against an unfixed toner image, when the recording material is transported; an endless-type support belt; a pressing member for forming the nip section between the rotating body and the support belt, by bringing the supporting belt into a pressed contact with the rotating body, by pressing the supporting belt from an inner periphery surface; a separation roller that is positioned on a downstream side, in the transporting direction of the recording material than on the pressing member for tensioning and laying the supporting belt, along with the pressing member; and an ejection means for ejecting compressed air against a second surface of the recording material between the pressing member and the separation roller, when the second surface of the recording material is fixed in the nip section, during both sides image formation and the recording material is transported with the first side in contact with the support belt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
