PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clear transmission image while accelerating an inspection speed. SOLUTION: The battery inspection device includes: X-ray sources 11 and 13 which emit X-ray to each battery 1 carried to predetermined inspection positions P3 and P4; X-ray detectors 12 and 14 which take X-ray images transmitted by the battery 1 and output transmission images of the battery 1; and an image processing part 15 which determines the propriety of battery electrode based on the respective transmission images taken by the X-ray detector 12 and 14. The device further includes a rotary carrying part 4 including: a cylindrical table 4b provided with grooves 4bc1 formed at equal intervals on its outer peripheral surface and a suction means 4c for sucking the battery 1 put into each groove 4bc1; and a rotary mechanism 4a for rotationally carrying the battery 1 sucked to each groove 4bc1 of the cylindrical table 4b to the inspection positions P3 and P4 along a circular orbit. The transmission images of the battery 1 are successively taken in the inspection positions while sucking the battery 1 in the groove 4bc1 of the cylindrical table 4b and rotationally carrying the battery 1 to determine its propriety.
