摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cutting tool inspection system which can always highly accurately process an image of a chip of a cutting tool picked up by a camera and precisely inspect the cutting tool. SOLUTION: The cutting tool inspection system 30 picks up the images of a reference mark M positioned at an inspection position close to the chip C and the chip C in the same visual field by a camera 54 to inspect the state of the chip C. The image processing of the chip C is carried out on the basis of the reference mark M. Since a reference mark rod 40 is attached to, for instance, a spindle stock 10 to which a workpiece is attached, even when the camera 54 shifts from the inspection position due to an influence of heat or an image pick-up direction is inclined, the reference mark M does not directly receive the influence. Thus, the position or direction of the camera does not need to be highly accurately adjusted as in a usual system. An image processing accuracy can be constantly maintained to a state of a high level, the cutting tool can be precisely inspected and an accuracy of a cutting work by the cutting tool can be improved.
