PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize an operating device for solar shading equipment, which reduces an operating physical force required for the operation of lifting/lowering a shading material, and which makes a frictional force of a clutch spring prevent the blind from being lowered by self-weight. SOLUTION: This operating device of the solar shading equipment includes: an operation shaft which is rotated with an operation means 6; a drive shaft which is rotated on the basis of the rotation of the operation shaft so as to lift/lower the shading material; and the clutch spring 27 which is interposed between the operation shaft and the drive shaft 17, which transmits the rotation of the operation shaft to the drive shaft 17 by rotating integrally with the operation shaft on the basis of the rotation of the operation shaft, and which inhibits the rotation of the drive shaft 17 with the force of friction against a brake drum while the operation means is not operated. The brake drum includes the cylindrical housing 22 of a one-way clutch. The one-way clutch makes the housing 22 rotated integrally with the clutch spring 27 only through the rotation of the operation shaft in the direction of pulling up the shading material.
