PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting fixture for retaining reinforcement of openings, when a fluorescent lamp is attached to or detached from a fixture body with openings fitted at an upper part and a lower part. SOLUTION: The lighting fixture 10 includes a straight-tube type fluorescent lamp 14, a cylindrical fixture body 13 housing the fluorescent lamp 14, a pair of sockets 15 supporting both end parts of the fluorescent lamp 14 inside the fixture body 13, a first opening 25 as well as a second opening 26 fitted at both sides along a diameter direction of the fluorescent lamp 14 in the fixture body 13, and a reinforcement member 20 to cross the first opening 25 along a width direction of that 25 for retaining an opening shape of the first opening 25.
