<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting body unit changing an indication mode given to a surface of a mat according to a request of a user without requiring replacement of the mat itself, easily attachable to the mat. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This lighting body unit 10 is arranged in the mat laid on the floor surface and/or the step of the entrance of a vehicle such as a private car and a commercial car for indicating an indication part 16 such as a letter, mark, figure, pattern, and picture on the surface of the mat. It includes a unit body 12, a light emitting part 14 with a light emitting surface on its surface, which is incorporated in the unit body 12, a transmission type indication body 16 arranged on the upper surface of the light emitting surface and constituting the indication part 34, a cover case 18 with translucency making the indication body 16 visually recognizable, which is arranged in the unit body 12 in a freely attachable/detachable manner to cover the indication body 16, and an attaching means 20 attaching the lighting body unit 10 to the mat detachably.
