The adapter (100) has a movable driver (110) for driving a switch of a built-in appliance (E) e.g. safety cut-off device, from a starting position to a target position during forward movement of the driver. A pivoting body (130) converts movement of a manually movable actuator (120) into the forward movement of the driver. The driver has a coupling part that engages with the switch of the built-in appliance. The driver has a pressing part (111), and the pivoting body engages with the pressing part, where the pivoting body is coupled to the driver using a pivot arm (131). An independent claim is also included for an electrical installation comprising a built-in appliance arranged in a housing.
