The burner insert (41) comprises a burner insert wall (42) with a cold side (43) and a hot side, and an edge (46) limiting the burner insert wall. A burner opening for inserting a burner is formed in the burner insert wall. The edge has an edge bar (51) projecting partially over the cold side in a circumferential manner. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) a gas turbine combustion chamber with a combustion chamber wall; and (2) a gas turbine with a cooling fluid reservoir.
