Method and device for controlling the power of a submerged water power station

The method involves carrying out a performance regulation of an underwater power station (1) through controlling or regulating of a load torque generated by an electrical generator (3) when a rotational speed of a water turbine (2) is freely adjustable. A reference value of the torque is determined through a state regulator and/or a maximum power point regulator (14) in a performance-optimized operating range of the power station, and the torque is selected in a performance-limited operating range, such that an operating point removed from a performance optimum is provided for the turbine. An independent claim is also included for a device for performance regulation of an underwater power station.
