Ring gear mounting arrangement with oil scavenge scheme

A turbine engine (10) includes an epicyclic gear train (22) that has a two-piece ring gear (38). Each portion (40,42) of the ring gear (38) includes radially outwardly extending flanges (51) that are axially constrained to a turbo fan shaft (20) by bolts (52) secured circumferentially along the flanges (51). Knife edge seals (56) are secured to the flanges (51) to contain oil expelled through the ring gear (38) into a gutter (60). The ring gear (38) and turbo fan shaft (20) can be rotationally balanced together.
