An independent suspension (IRS) (10) for a rear wheel of an agricultural vehicle includes upper (11) and lower (12) longitudinal trailing members that are each secured at a chassis location (11a, 12a) for pivoting movement about respective upper and lower, horizontally extending axes (13, 14). A planetary gear mount (16) is secured between the trailing members (11, 12) at upper and lower attachments that are spaced from the chassis ends of the trailing members; and a spring attachment (31) protrudes from the planetary gear mount.
