<p>In a telecommunications network including a plurality of network providers a method of, reconfiguring a smart card from being registered with a first network to being registered with a second network in response to a request to the smart card including an identifier relating to the second network, which may be an IMSI, said method comprising selecting a set of authentication information, which may comprise an authentication key and an over the air key, from a store of one or more pre-stored authentication information sets, wherein each set is usable by any network, and sending an authentication information identifier, which may be an index number, to the second network such that the identifier is usable by the second network to access authentication information corresponding to the selected set of authentication information on the SIM. Sets of authentication information may be stored in a list and selected by choosing the next set in the list.</p> |
