PURPOSE: An internal voltage generating circuit of a semiconductor device is provided to reduce the layout of a circuit by controlling the use of a separate level detector. CONSTITUTION: A reference voltage generator(10) generates a reference voltage. A voltage divider(20) distributes an external power voltage. A voltage down-converter(50) generates an internal voltage when a divider voltage is greater than the reference voltage. A voltage up-converter(40) generates an internal voltage when the divider voltage is lower than the reference voltage. A selector(30) selectively enables the voltage down converter/voltage up-converter by comparing the divider voltage and the reference voltage. The voltage divider includes a resistor which is serially connected to an external power voltage and a ground power source. |
