PURPOSE: An information providing method for vertical handover supplying information for target network selection is provided to quickly select optimum target network by receiving information about target network from network selection entity. CONSTITUTION: A terminal transmits a target network information request message to a network select entity(S620). The network selection entity extracts the target network information(S630). The network selection entity transmits the target network information message to the terminal(S640). The terminal obtains the information about the adjacent target network from the target network information message. The terminal selects the target network(S650).
