A METHOD FOR EFFECTIVE EXPANSION AND DIFFERENTIATION OF NK CELLS FROM CORD BLOOD

PURPOSE: A method for proliferating and differentiating NK cells(natural killer cells) from umbilical cord blood is provided to use for anti-cancer therapy. CONSTITUTION: A method for proliferating and differentiating NK cells comprises: a step of removing CD3-positive T cell from umbilical cord blood-derived monocytes to obtain CD3-negative cells; and a step of treating cytokine to CD3-negative cells and culturing the cells. The cytokine is IL-2, IL-15, or IL-21. A composition for preventing and treating cancer contains NK cells having enhanced cell killing ability.
