PURPOSE: A noise suppression device and a noise suppression method are provided to properly suppress a noise of an input signal by applying a noise suppress gain to an input signal through a noise suppression unit. CONSTITUTION: A first noise spectrum estimation unit(21) obtains a first noise spectrum estimation values through the estimation of a noise spectrum in an input signal. A second noise spectrum estimation unit(23) obtains a second noise spectrum estimation value. Based on the estimation values of the first and second spectrum estimation values, a noise spectrum calculation unit(15) calculates the final spectrum estimation value. A gain calculation unit(60) calculates a noise suppression gain, and a noise suppression unit suppresses the noise within the input signal.
