摘要 PURPOSE: A hybrid air foil journal bearing with an external hydrostatic pressure supply source is provided to effectively reduce frictional force between a rotor and a foil by supplying air with uniform pressure between the rotor and the foil. CONSTITUTION: A hybrid air foil journal bearing with an external hydrostatic pressure supply source comprises a bearing sleeve(1), a foil(2), air outlets(21), air inlets(31), and a tube(3). A circular hole is formed in the bearing sleeve. The foil is installed inside the bearing sleeve, and elastically supports a rotor. The air outlets are installed between the foil and the bearing sleeve in a circular ring shape. One ends of the air inlets are exposed to outside through the bearing sleeve so that external air can flow in. The other end of the tube is closed.
