PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance visibility without deteriorating advantage in designing of a rice cooker in which an operation section and a display section are arranged in a lid body. SOLUTION: A rice cooker includes a body 5 having a heating means 3, in which an inner pot 2 is detachably housed, a lid body 7 connected to the body 5 with a hinge 6 and openably closing the upper opening of the inner pot 2, a light transmissive convex part 15 protruded from the upper face of the top plate 9 of the lid body 7, and a light emitting body 14 arranged in an operation substrate 12 housed in the lid body 7 and showing action condition.
