PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a merchandise display apparatus capable of identifying an action with the high possibility of the shoplifting action of a large amount of merchandise and an action with the high possibility of normal shopping. SOLUTION: The merchandise display apparatus includes: a total reduction number calculation means for adding a simultaneous reduction number n to a total reduction numberΣn when determining that the number of merchandise has reduced by a reduction determination means before the elapsed time reaches the prescribed time; a total reduction number reset means for setting 0 to the total reduction numberΣn when the elapsed time reaches the prescribed time; and a reporting determination means for determining that reporting is to be performed when the simultaneous reduction number n reaches a prescribed threshold or more and/or the number m of times of reduction reaches a prescribed threshold or more and/or the total reduction numberΣn reaches a prescribed threshold or more.
