PAPER MULBERRY STEM BARK HAVING ANTIHYPERGLYCEMIA ACTIVITY

PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition for an anti-hyperglycemia activity containing broussonetia kazinoki stem shell powder is provided to treat hyperglycemia by preventing damages of liver cells through reducing the activity level of liver originated enzymes related to diabetes. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for an anti-hyperglycemia activity contains stem shells of broussonetia kazinoki as an active ingredient. The stem shells of the broussonetia kazinoki is powder. The powdered stem shells of the broussonetia kazinoki contains 1.78~1.9wt% of polyphenol, 45.43~48.61wt% of TDF, 44.78~46.68wt% of IDF, and 0.9~1.64wt% of SDF. The powdered stem shells of the broussonetia kazinoki is produced by peeling off stem shells from the broussonetia kazinoki, drying the shells in the shade, and pulverizing.
