<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of an outboard motor equipped with a torque converter and reducing deceleration feeling arising when a lockup clutch is turned on after completion of acceleration. <P>SOLUTION: In the control device of the outboard motor having the torque converter interposed between an internal combustion engine (engine) and a drive shaft and equipped with the lockup clutch and a trim angle adjusting mechanism for adjusting a trim angle with respect to a hull, input rotation speed NIN and output rotation speed NOUT of the torque converter are detected (S26), a speed ratio (e) of the torque converter is calculated from the detected input rotation speed NIN and output rotation speed NOUT (S28), and when the calculated speed ratio (e) is equal to or more than a first prescribed value eref1, the trim angle adjusting mechanism is operated and a trim angle θtrm is adjusted to be a prescribed angle θtrm1 (S30, S32), and after the trim angle θtrm is adjusted to the prescribed angle θtrm1, the lockup clutch of the torque converter is turned on (S40). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
