<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for improving acceleration performance just after accelerating an internal combustion engine, in the control device of an outboard motor having a torque converter. <P>SOLUTION: This control device of the outboard motor is inserted between the internal combustion engine (an engine) and a drive shaft, and has the torque converter having a lockup clutch, and detects throttle opening TH of the internal combustion engine (S12), and calculates a variation DTH in the detected throttle opening TH (S14), and turns on the lockup clutch of the torque converter for a predetermined time (a timer value tm)(S20-S28) when the variation DTH in the calculated throttle opening TH is a predetermined value DTHref or more. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
