<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a white light emitting device which consists of a surface mounting package having a reflective frame and at least two package electrodes in the reflective frame. <P>SOLUTION: A white light emitting device is constituted at least of: a light emitting diode; a surface mounting package which is provided with a reflective frame surrounding the light emitting diode and two package electrodes for connection with the light emitting diode; a metal member which connects the electrodes of the light emitting diode, respectively, with the package electrodes of the surface mounting package; a fluorescent film formed on an inclined plane which is formed on the inner surface of the reflective frame; and a transparent sealer containing air bubbles, which is filled into the reflective frame. Since a fluorescent film is provided on the peripheral inclined plane of the reflective frame in the white light emitting device, bluish light reflected irregularly on the sealer containing air bubbles impinges on the fluorescent film where it is changed into regular white light without unevenness. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
