<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission capable of restricting an increase of energy to be consumed by a shifting actuator with an increase of capacity of the transmission even in the case of reducing the energy to be consumed by the shifting actuator in operation of the transmission and increasing capacity of the transmission. <P>SOLUTION: In a stage shifting device 10, a thrust spring 20 energizes a movable sheave 257 toward a fixed sheave 253 along the axial direction with thrust DF corresponding to tension TF of a V belt 211, and outer diameter of a wrapping region of a pulley groove 262, with which the V belt 211 is brought in pressure-contact, is formed variable so as to follow an outer diameter change of the wrapping region in the pulley groove 16 with shifting operation of the shifting actuator 100. A counter spring 18 energizes a movable sheave 207 toward a fixed sheave 203 along the axial direction with counter force CF corresponding to the thrust DF of the thrust spring 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
