PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water soluble composition showing dilatancy and excellent in stability, and also an aqueous solution composition gelling by flowage. SOLUTION: This aqueous solution comprising the following components (A) and (B) has been found to show the dilatancy: (A) a water soluble ionic polymer having≥2 meq/g ionic group density; and (B) a water soluble ionic polymer having an opposite ionic property to that of the (A) and having≤1 meq/g ionic group density.
