<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective cover for a cylinder capable of preventing intrusion of foreign materials such as dusts adhered to a piston rod into a cylinder tube in regard to a protective cover for a cylinder, in which outside air is sucked when the piston rod is extended. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A flexible sheet 14 comprises a large hole diameter sheet 14L, of which inner diameter is larger than the outer diameter of the piston rod 22, and a small hole diameter sheet 14S, of which inner diameter is smaller than the outer diameter of the piston rod 22. A cover body 11 of bellows structure is formed by repeatedly stitching an inner peripheral side and an outer peripheral side each other, and the small hole diameter sheet 14S is projected inside from a stitch part 17V on the inner peripheral side as a valley folded part to form a wiping part 18. When the cover body 11 is extended/shrunken in response to extension/shrinkage of the piston rod 22, the wiping part 18 slides with the outer surface of the piston rod 22 to remove the foreign materials.
