<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent or suppress disintegration delay of soft capsule caused by a reaction between a caramel pigment and a gelatin molecule of a soft capsule film when a soft capsule contains a caramel pigment as a soft capsule film in a soft capsule widely used in medicine, food for specified health use, so-called health food and food. Ž<P>SOLUTION: When the soft capsule contains a caramel pigment as a soft capsule film, the soft capsule film is mixed with a starch hydrolyzate together with gelatin and a caramel pigment. Consequently, disintegration delay of soft capsule caused by a reaction between a caramel pigment and gelatin molecule of soft capsule film is prevented or suppressed to give a non conventional soft capsule having excellent productivity, cost and qualities.
