<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a paper feeder capable of drawing a paper feeding cassette in a plurality of directions with good operability, without impairing appearance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The paper feeder can draw the paper feeding cassette 10 in the directions A and B. The paper feeding cassette 10 is composed of a paper storage portion 11, and grip portions 21, 31 provided so as to respectively correspond to the drawing directions A and B. The grip portions 21, 31 can couple/separate to/from the paper storage portion 11. For example, when the paper feeding cassette 10 is drawn in the direction A, the grip portion 21 positioned in the direction A keeps a state coupled to the paper storage portion 11, and the grip portion 31 is separated from the paper storage portion 11 and held by a housing part 1 and a column portion 5 of a feeder body.
